George Ngure Kariuki
Meet George Ngure Kariuki, popularly known as GK, the Patron and Founder Member of the Empaash Ooloirienito Conservancy together Mzee Lemaikai Ole Matura. Mr Kariuki provided leadership to formation of the conservancy whose dream was to have wildlife roaming freely to mitigate against encroachment by urbanisation. Over the years, the dream is still alive and despite the mushrooming of nearby towns, animals still have a place to call home in the land of the Maasai, a people who co-exist harmoniously with the wild. Instead of farming, Mr Kariuki, together with like-minded philanthropists invested in large tracts of land in Saikeri for the Empaash wildlife conservancy. Away from philanthropy, Mr Kariuki is a trailblazer entrepreneur in Kenya’s Insurance industry.
